Andrzej Siwkiewicz, 4th Degree Black Belt
Andrzej Siwkiewicz Sensei began his martial arts training in Poland studying Tai Chi Chuan and Hung Gar style of Kung Fu. He joined Warsaw University Aikido Club in 1983. In 1989 he moved to West Berlin where he trained in the Aikido-Zen Institute under Gerhard Walter Shihan.
After moving to United States, Siwkiewicz Sensei continued his Aikido practice in Rochester, NY. In 1997 he joined Cleveland Aikikai. He received Shodan rank in 2002 from Hiroshi Ikeda Shihan. In 2016 he was promoted to Yondan by Mitsugi Saotome Shihan. He is also holding Shodan in Daito-Ryu Aiki-Jutsu awarded by Antonino Certa Shihan.
Since 2005 Siwkiewicz Sensei has been teaching classes in Cleveland Aikikai as well as the Oberlin Aikido Club where he is the head instructor of the Oberlin Aikikai. He frequently travels visiting dojos, attending seminars, studying with instructors and students around the world..
